Local Government Reorganisation (LGR)
Over the next 2-3 years, Local Government is facing an era of uncertainty and dramatic change. However, the expectations of residents and the service provision will still remain. The resilience of the organisation’s leadership and staff will be crucial in delivering during such a challenging time. Such resilience and engagement is unlikely to maintain itself unaided.
Why Imaginarium?
Since 1994, we have worked with people from more than fifty county, district, borough, city, parish and town councils. We also have the near unique experience of the unitary and devolution process. Around 2009, we worked with the Bedfordshire councils during unitary, supporting leaders and staff to remain resilient and focussed. We have also worked with organisations across other industries, going through mergers, buyouts and takeovers. We specialise in leadership and resilience and understand the psychological and practical implications of long-term uncertainty.
How can we support you?
Phase 1 – Consultation
- Working with senior leaders to maintain the focus, resilience, engagement and performance of themselves and their teams. This can be done through group sessions and 1:1 coaching. We will work with the senior leaders, tailoring to their specific requirements.
- We can also support through consultancy, change management, career planning and project leadership.
Phase 2 – Planning
- Workshops for staff. For example: riding the waves of change, coping with uncertainty, staying resilient, and driving your career.
- Team facilitation. Helping teams to prepare, plan and strategize for integration. Including handling attitudes and emotional fallout.
Phase 3 – Reintegration
- New team workshops. Merging, reintegration and acclimatisation.
