Learning & Development
Our ‘Deep Learning’ Approach to L&D
What do we offer?
We offer a broad range of titles and topics (see below) and we also design and tailor-make courses to suit specific requirements. Just ask!
Our live, online sessions are highly interactive and tailored to each group, allowing for discussion and bringing ‘deep learning’ direct from the Imaginarium and through your screen! Feedback we get about our virtual sessions are that we are “doing it differently” and “making it really engaging”.
During this ‘lock-down’ period, we have found the following sessions to be popular (and invaluable):
- Crisis Leadership
- Managing Remote Teams
- Managing Performance Remotely: Having Difficult Conversations
- Working from home: staying resilient.
- Train the Trainer: How to be interactive with online training!
‘In the room’ courses can be adapted from a half-day to two-days in length and some topics can be presented as short ‘spotlight’ sessions.
If you’d like a sample outline for any of the courses mentioned, let us know.

I have never had such positive feedback from a training course as I have today from the delegates. They were so impressed and have gone away with a great deal of understanding and knowledge. One of your delegates actually texted me during the day saying how much they was enjoying it… I’ve been doing this job 18 years and have never had that, so well done and thank you!
Powered Access Division Manager
Mr Plant Hire
I have worked with Joe for many years, delivering management development programmes, customised one-off events and coaching. He has a strong foundation in academic study and has written several books. However, it is his very engaging (and often entertaining) style of delivery that workshop delegates particularly enjoy.
Learning & Development Manager
Cambridge University Libraries
Working with Imaginarium is a pleasure! Joe has taken the time to understand the needs of our business in order to ensure that the courses we deliver provide the best results. Joe is considerate and entertaining and the feedback from our participants is always extremely positive. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to invest in their team development.
Learning & Development Manager
Joe’s teaching style is very suited to my learning. He is incredibly curious about everything and therefore possesses a huge amount of knowledge that he uses to add extra interest to training. He also likes to hear anything that other people can contribute. His training is very relaxed but remains professional. Though there is flexibility, Joe remains in control.
Liz Jones MCIPD
ASUSTeK (UK) Ltd.
Joe facilitates well, bringing his own anecdotes and unique dose of humour to bring the sessions to life. He also enables opportunities to work with different people and learn from their experiences, to ensure new knowledge is embedded and networks formed.
Human Relations Director
Mylan Pharma UK Limited
Joe’s brand of accessible and expert training, delivered with a wealth of experience and a deft human touch, is the reason why I’ve come back to him to support my teams development needs in three successive organisations.
Dr Sue Armstrong Brown
I have worked with Joe at different companies and found him to be a complete professional who can engage easily with many different types of employee, from young apprentices all the way through to mature and experienced operatives. All the feedback I have ever had about how Joe delivers training has been extremely positive and I would recommend him every time!
Capability Development Manager
Joe demonstrated his ability to adapt to his audience, moving from thought-provoking theory to a pragmatic approach to training where required because of an in-depth knowledge on the topics taught.
Steve Booker (Tech IOSH)
Kentec Training Ltd
The training was fantastic – informative and engaging. An enjoyable (and fun!) couple of days.
Training and Advice Manager
Joe is a very elegant presenter with a huge talent for delivering immensely useful content in a way that is engaging and fun. The invaluable skills and self-awareness gained on his programmes have positively impacted not only my effectiveness, but also my relationships with colleagues, and ultimately, to me consistently exceeding targets!
Senior Marketing Manager MBA and DBA
Cranfield University, School of Management
We have employed Joe many times over the last six years to facilitate and run training sessions. He brings fresh, practical ideas to our business and helps us get the best out of ourselves. We have developed some useful time management and communication tools/approaches as a result of Joe’s wisdom!
Joe is a skilled trainer, clearly committed to the development of delegates on the course. Joe has a particular strength in exploring theory with students, and is talented in linking different theories and perspectives together.
Leading Adult Statutory Services
I have had the pleasure of attending a number of courses led by Joe. As a trainer, he is second to none. He facilitates, encourages and establishes the environment and atmosphere in which learners can learn and delegates can develop.
